What we do

• Location soundDialogue, atmospheres and effects for documentary, commercial and broadcast. Isolated tracks and a mix, timecode locked to picture, sound report on delivery. A full package travels to every job, owned and insured.
• PodcastsSet up and recorded properly, whether everyone is in the room or scattered across time zones. Multitrack, each voice on its own channel, edited and mixed ready to publish. Remote guests recorded locally rather than down the line, so a bad connection never ends up in the finished episode.
• Post productionEditing, sound design and mixing to broadcast specification. Dialogue clean-up and repair, including rescuing recordings that arrive in bad shape.

Booking

Based in Hove, working London, the UK and internationally. Passport and kit ready to travel; flights, carnet and expenses agreed in advance rather than added afterwards.

What we make

• WebSites that do something rather than sit there. Written in code from a blank page, not dropped into a template, so a site can hold whatever the work actually needs: an interactive pitch deck, a tool that runs in the browser, sound and motion that behave properly on a phone. We built the site for our own agency, Glip, that way. Storefronts and campaign sites too.
• AppsThere and Back is a meditation app for the commute, made for people who do not meditate. Thirty days, a session out and a session back. On the App Store. Sonic Retreat coming soon.

Privacy

We do not collect personal data. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising identifiers or third-party tracking.

The same goes for any software we publish: there are no accounts to create, nothing you do inside it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and any settings or progress are stored on your own device and removed when you delete it.

If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence only for as long as it takes to answer you. To ask what we hold or to have it deleted, write to jake@sonicstudio.uk.
